Throwing and Design with Donna, Saturdays, 3-5 pm, 4 weeks


Intermediate wheel throwing and Surface Design for Ceramics Objects, a four week workshop, will expose participants to a variety of techniques, materials and methods they can use to design and embellish the ceramic pieces they create on the wheel or by hand. Students will create several pots to work on and learn about the materials and techniques they can use on greenware, bisque and glazed pieces. Students may take the class on an ongoing basis working on individual projects with the instructor. Students will also receive a Resources List, a Materials List and a listing of Ceramic Artists worth checking out. Prerequisite: working knowledge of beginning throwing techniques.

Please bring money for clay on your first day of class (around $10), a notebook for sketching, any tools you may have. Practice time: 1-7 pm daily, $1 per pound for glaze firing, bisque firing included.
