Echo Ceramics Wax Resist
Green alumina wax resist is great for appying on the bottom of the pots to be glaze fired. It prevents your wares from chipping and sticking to the shelf (not from the glaze running!). Water soluble.
Pink wax resist is used for decorative purposes on bisque pieces to repel glaze applied over it. It will not leave any residue after it burns out in the firing. Water soluble. |

Echo Ceramics Dry Glaze Mixing Instructions
1. Establish the correct water to dry material ratio: 1/2 part of water to 1 part of dry ingredients.
2. Slowly sift dry ingredients into the water bucket. Add more water if needed to allow dry particles to achieve maximum absorption.
3. For best results, allow glaze to soak overnight, or for at least 1 hour.
4. Mix thoroughly. The glaze consistency should be that of drinkable yogurt.
5. Strain all glaze through a 60 or higher mesh sieve into another bucket, then strain back into the original bucket.
6. Add more water if needed to make glaze dipping consistency(heavy cream). We recommend running several tests to determine your individual consistency preference.
P. S. Individual results will depend on type of kiln and firing.
|
* Results may vary depending on application, firing, and clay body. Most samples on this page are white clay body.
